Manage AWS Access to Console

Overview

This article explains how to manage access for AWS team users within your Cloudamize assessment. By default, AWS access is enabled to help customers get the most value from AWS expertise. However, customers have full control and can opt out at any time.

Manage AWS Access (Opt-Out Option)

You can choose to restrict AWS user access to your assessment at any time.

Steps to Opt-Out of AWS Access

  1. Log in to the Cloudamize Console.

    Cloudamize Console Home page

  2. Go to the User Account dropdown Menu (top-right corner).

AWS Access

The business case for AWS is strongest when your account manager or partner can bring in experts from other AWS service teams.

If you opt out of AWS access:
→ All users with Amazon.com email addresses will be removed from your assessment
→ You will not be able to add new users with Amazon.com email addresses

To allow AWS access again, turn off “Opt-out of AWS access” and add the Amazon user at
Settings -> Manage Users

What Happens When You Opt-Out

If you confirm opt-out:

  • All AWS team users (users with an Amazon.com email address) are automatically removed

  • You cannot add AWS users while opt-out is enabled

  • AWS access to your assessment is fully restricted

Re-Enabling AWS Access

If you want to allow AWS access again:

Steps to Re-enable

  1. Go to the User Account dropdown

  2. Toggle OFF the “Opt-out of AWS access” option

  3. Navigate to:
    Settings > Manage Users

  4. Manually add AWS users as needed(Re-opting will not automatically restore access for old users)

Managing AWS Users in an Assessment

  • AWS users can be added as assessment users (when access is enabled).

  • Certain AWS users may be automatically added for AWS-funded assessments.

  • Customers retain full control over managing or removing users.
